Laser cleaning machine is widely used in the refurbishing industry for car application, city graffiti removal, etc.
Recently we did a test with our 100W laser cleaning.
The target cleaning object is spare parts of a Porsche 911 made in 1972 for a client.
The cleaning result is ideal and satisfies the client.
However, we do meet some challenges during the testing.
The first one is to remove the coatings efficiently, we tried lots of cleaning patterns, and finally, we’ve found that the spiral pattern is much better than other laser patterns.
Another issue is that the laser will make apparent markings on the spare part, which is unacceptable. Then our professionals think the reason should be the pulse duration. So we decreased the pulse duration and got a more delicate result.
What is pulse duration? It is an essential parameter of a laser cleaning machine. Most laser cleaning machine in the market has fixed pulse duration.
